500 words about the body (2013-2017)
these pocket-poems are comprised of exactly 500 words (excluding the title) and are about various parts of the body. it was a format of poem-writing that brought me great joy in my mid twenties, when i was at an age of writing quite bad poetry but with such courage! admirable!
it was also my first experience of really making my own zines, figuring out the layout, photocopying them at the local copyshop, stealing a long-reach stapler from my dad’s office so i could bind them on the kitchen coutner, distributing to friends or hiding them in nooks and crannies of suburbs and cities. i feel very warmly and sweetly towards this little collection of zines, and still have a few underneath my desk if you’re interested in acquiring one or two.
