Etymology of a Serpent-Bearer (2026)

this is a solo performance that was created for the Archive of the Stars group exhibition that took place in Berlin, June 2026 where over 70 artists, all of whom had attended a League of Stars residency, exhibited work connected to a specific star.

the star i worked with was Rasalhague from the Ophiuchus constellation, a constellation also known as the Serpent-Bearer. Rasalhague is the main star in this constellation and the performance looked into various translations, descriptions and etymologies connected with this star, as well as mythologies surrounding the origin story of Eve and the Snake. the research around this star continues as does the development of the performance.
