Etymology of a Serpent-Bearer (2026)

this was a solo performance created for the Archive of the Stars group exhibition that took place in Berlin, June 2026, where over 70 artists, all of whom had attended a League of Stars residency, shared work connected to a specific star.

the star i was working with was Rasalhague from the Ophiuchus constellation also known as the Serpent-Bearer, with Rasalhague as the main star in this constellation (aka the Head of the Serpent-Bearer). the work looked into various translations and etymologies connected with this star as well as mythologies surrounding the origin story of Eve and the Snake.
