horoscopes for aries season (20 march -19 april 2025)

by | Mar 20, 2025 | horoscopes

aries season marks the spring equinox in the nothern hemisphere and the autumn equinox in the southern hemisphere…

…aries is a cardinal sign (which means it begins a season) and a fire sign. it is associated with the planet mars. i feel like aries energy is very (very) direct and to the point. i really love this about aries energy. when we say “aries season” we mean the sun is moving through the zodiac sign of aries. some keywords we can associate with aries are: inspiration / courage / speed / vitality / assertion*.

(*this doesn’t necessarily mean that all people with their sun in aries have these qualities, it’s more the archetypal qualities of the zodiac sign. people – and birth charts – are beautiful complicated layers of many energies and qualities!)

anyway. this particular aries season includes a solar eclipse in the sign of aries on 29 march and we see many planets change sign. on 30 march neptune moves into aries (the last time neptune was in aries was around 1862, so that’s kind of a big deal). mercury and venus both finish their retrograde movements in pisces and mars moves into leo right at the end of aries season on 18 april. the next lil chunk of time might feel like things are speeding up, chaos is getting hotter and at the same time, on some level, certain themes are becoming clearer.

i wrote this month’s horoscopes as succinctly as i could (not always easy for me), focussing on mission, opponent and strategy as a framework for distributing some sort cosmic guidance for each sign. but in general, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by these demanding times i would say it’s probably a good idea to not panic, practice grounding, clarify what you want to fight for and against and remember that kindness is a super effective strategy for meaningful change.

aries

your mission: to observe how emotional tension creates new pathways for moving forward.

your opponent: the belief that both the feelings and experiences of confusion and chaos are permanent.

your strategy: to deliberately seek out stories that uplift you and remind you of hope. also: to return regularly to your centre by generating heat in your body.

taurus

your mission: to continue to be in the middle of a process of learning what you need to release (and then practicing releasing it).

your opponent: the impatience of not already fully knowing who it is you’ve become.

your strategy: to intentionally approach the next month as a season of slow but steady reconfiguration and restructuring, whilst somehow being present with collective emotional turmoil. (good luck!)

gemini

your mission: to trust that by moving a little slower than usual, you’re learning to refine your capacity to move between worlds.

your opponent: is still the funny demon that’s been following you around for a while now… that double-headed monster of overwhelming insecurity and profound arrogance.

your strategy: to approach any relational or social drama in your sphere as an opportunity for you to become more true to yourself.

cancer

your mission: to gather all that you’ve learnt and experienced about conflict over the past few months and let it change how you move through the world.

your opponent: all the old habits that used to comfort you, but no longer do 🙁

your strategy: to remember that you’re seriously adept at doing difficult things and just because the difficult things look different now, doesn’t mean you can’t do them.

leo

your mission: to figure out different techniques of moving backwards in order to gain momentum.

your opponent: some sort of power structure that challenges your sense of sovereignity in a totally new and terrifying way.

your strategy: to embrace any inspiring system of knowledge that you’re learning about and see it as fuel for the beginning of a long and interesting roadtrip.

virgo

your mission: to recall how much easier it is to understand something when looking back in hindsight. and to remember that full understanding necessarily takes time.

your opponent: the impulse to rush a process of making sense when others (or yourself) are still in a process of feeling their feelings.

your strategy: give space for a natural turning of events while at the same time researching the value, necessity and practices of grief.

libra

your mission: to kind of just embrace (or perhaps, be present with) the chaos… sorry.

your opponent: the ambiguity you encounter when trying to discern who is responsible for a situation.

your strategy: to trust that the impermanence of everything is the only permanent thing.

scorpio

your mission: to acquire the inner stillness that is necessary for your long-term goals.

your opponent: the frustration of not being able to do anything when you suspect that you know exactly how it’s going to turn out.

your strategy: to adapt to an ever-shifting landscape and consider that surprise twists and turns may be allies instead of interruptions.

sagittarius

your mission: to accept that sometimes your sense of mission is obscured, in flux or not always accessible. and that’s ok.

your opponent: the almost unbearable desire for things to simply be better and for people to do better.

your strategy: to zoom out and let a much larger perspective on events connect you with a sense of flow.

capricorn

your mission: to be present with the tension between moving fast and moving slow and to give each pace its own turn.

your opponent: the belief that emotions are your opponent.

your strategy: to look into the past to remind yourself how adaptable you actually are with responding to and dealing with crisis and upsets.

aquarius

your mission: to access courage by stepping into the larger version of yourself that has been emerging over the past year.

your opponent: the grief that lives in the corner of your eye, because it’s actually just too large for you to really engage with right now.

your strategy: to allow friends and neighbors to inspire you to break with your routines, and to perceive those breaks as surprising opportunities for light to shine in.

pisces

your mission: to feel into the ways that reversals and renewals help you become more solid.

your opponent: the internalization of a certain kind of “fatedness” that limits your sense of agency and openness.

your strategy: to design a mantra that helps you embody the understanding that sustainable pleasures take time to build.
